CSCLeaders 2014 Challenge

Each year the CSCLeaders Curriculum Think Tank sets a challenge which addresses a fundamental issue of today.

The 2014 Challenge is:

How do you get societal - as well as economic - value out of technological innovation?

With the global population growing to 9billion by 2050 there are ever increasing demands on natural resources; energy, food, clean water, etc. We are seeing the changes in climate and increased extreme weather conditions. Severe income disparity has been identified as one of the most prevalent global risks which leads to major inequalities in education, healthcare and housing provision. Do we need to change our behaviors to adapt to or counteract these changes or will technological innovations solve these issues for us?
