Chris Hartley, Non-Executive Director, Australia

Chris Hartley is an experienced executive and Director based in Sydney, currently the Chair of UKLG and a panel Director for the IFC, part of the World Bank. He has run companies and been on Boards across most of Asia and was also instrumental in drafting one of the World's first environmental treaties, The Montreal Protocol. Chris is a former international oarsman and was a participant in the last Commonwealth Leadership Forum.

Chris is a member of the CSC Alumnus. His experience has had a huge impact on his career: "I was flat out in my first significant business role in Asia when someone wiser than I pushed me to accept the place. The 'challenge' was interesting, the experience tremendous but the lasting benefit was a network of great people in global roles. As a result, I became mates with people I might otherwise not have come across - Vice-Chancellors, General Secretaries of Unions, a Chief Constable and even the odd (very odd) spook."
